Backbone State Park

Cash and I made a loop from near the West Gate of Backbone State Park. The loop started from a small parking area and cut across high ground before dropping through some limestone bluffs to the “lower flats” area. I climbed back from there to turn off on the Six Pines trail. There was an unofficial trail that continued for a ways before it petered out and I just picked my way through the woods along a stream until I ran into the West Lake Trail. I then follow that up to near the West Gate Shelter before jumping back on the Six Pines Trail to return to the parking area. This was a beautiful little hike, though there was some back-and-forth picking my way through the woods by the stream.
